Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the consultation platform of Dr. Bipin R. Upadhyay (DCI Reg. No. A-13123). By booking or attending a consultation you agree to them.

1. Scope of practice

Dr. Bipin practises Oral Medicine & Radiology. Consultations are offered as (a) in-person OPD at KJ Somaiya Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai, and (b) Teleconsultations (video / audio / chat / second opinion / async) per the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.

2. Eligibility

Physical OPD slots are reserved for patients ordinarily resident in Mumbai (city or MMR PIN codes).
Teleconsultations are available throughout India to patients ≥18 years; minors require a guardian to be present.
We may decline service in non-clinical scenarios (e.g. emergencies — please call 108).

3. Prescriptions

Prescriptions are issued only where clinically appropriate. Schedule X drugs are never prescribed via teleconsultation. Schedule H/H1 drugs are prescribed only after a live video consultation. All prescriptions are digitally signed (Ed25519) and verifiable by any pharmacy at the verification URL printed on the document.

3A. International Expert Discussion

Adults physically outside India may request a limited informational discussion only through the separate international pathway. Dr. Bipin is not acting as the patient’s treating dentist or primary clinician in that country and does not represent that he is licensed there. The service does not issue a final diagnosis, prescription, investigation order, medical certificate, or direct treatment instruction for use outside India. A named, locally registered dentist or doctor must independently examine the patient and remains responsible for all local decisions. Submitted records and the written note may be shared with that clinician only after explicit acknowledgement. Requests are reviewed before payment or scheduling, and the service may be declined.

4. Emergency disclaimer

The platform is not intended for medical emergencies. If you experience severe pain, uncontrolled bleeding, breathing difficulty, facial trauma, or any life-threatening symptom, call 108 or visit the nearest emergency room immediately.

6. Recording & data

You may be asked to consent separately to (a) clinical recording for medico-legal record-keeping and (b) AI-assisted scribe / translation. You may withdraw these at any time; doing so does not affect the consultation itself.

7. Acceptable use

Do not impersonate another patient, share login credentials, or use the platform to obtain prescriptions for other persons. Violations may be reported to authorities.

8. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. For an International Expert Discussion, the parties intend to submit to the courts at Mumbai, subject to any mandatory rights or laws that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here is a blanket waiver of rights that the applicable law does not permit a person to waive.
